Terms of use
Draft. This page has not been reviewed or approved by the platform owner yet. Lines marked “owner to supply” are facts this platform cannot know about itself and must be filled in before the page is relied on.
These terms cover your use of CEJ Experts, a platform for dental continuing education: taking courses, sitting assessments and receiving certificates. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to them.
1. Who these terms are with
Owner to supplythe legal name of the business that operates CEJ Experts, its registered address, and its company or tax registration number if it has one.
Everywhere below, “we” means that business and “you” means the person signed in to the account.
2. Your account
An account belongs to one person. Do not share your password or let somebody else sit an assessment for you: a certificate names the person who earned it, and an account that is shared cannot produce an honest record.
What you can do on the platform is decided by your account’s role, not by anything you choose at sign-in. Most accounts are learner accounts. Author accounts, which can build courses and open the admin console, are granted by us.
Keep your email address current. It is how you sign in and how a certificate is addressed.
3. Courses and enrolment
When you enrol, the platform pins the version of the course that was published at that moment. If the author publishes a newer version while you are partway through, your enrolment keeps the version you started — the course does not change under you mid-way.
Course material is provided for professional education. It is not clinical advice for a specific patient, and it does not replace your own professional judgement or the standards of the body that registers you.
4. Assessment, credit and certificates
Credit is earned, never imported. Continuing-education credit hours come from this platform’s own assessment: when you submit, the platform scores your answers on its own servers against the course version your enrolment is pinned to, and that score is the only thing that decides whether you passed. A score sent in by an imported SCORM or cmi5 package is kept as evidence of what happened inside that package and never decides a pass, and no submission from a browser can declare its own score or its own pass.
Where a course author uses AI to draft assessment questions, those questions never go live until a person has reviewed and approved them. An AI draft cannot decide a pass.
What this page will not tell you is that the assessment cannot be worked around. How hard a course is to pass is set by its author, and some of that is open work rather than settled protection: unless the author sets an attempt limit, retakes are unlimited; the review screen you see after submitting shows the correct answers, so a later attempt can be informed by an earlier one; and a course whose pass mark is set to zero will pass an empty submission. Each of those is tracked and being closed, and this is not a closed list of the ways an assessment can be gamed. If a certificate turns out to have been obtained that way, or by breaking section 6, we may record it as invalid.
A certificate is issued from an attempt this platform itself scored and marked passed. Because it is the record of continuing-education credit you may need to show a regulator or employer years later, an issued certificate is not deleted when an account is closed. Section 6 of the privacy page explains what that means for your data.
We do not guarantee that any regulator, board or employer will accept a certificate. Whether the credit counts for you is decided by the body that registers you.
Owner to supplythe accreditation statement for CEJ Experts — which bodies, if any, recognise these courses, and the exact wording those bodies require.
5. Paying for courses
Some courses and bundles are free and some are paid. A paid course shows its price before you buy, and the price you are charged is the price recorded on your order — a later price change never rewrites what you paid.
Payment is taken by a payment provider on its own hosted checkout page. Your card details are entered there and never reach this platform. The refunds page covers cancelling and getting money back.
6. Using the platform fairly
Do not:
- sign in as somebody else, or let somebody else sign in as you;
- copy, resell, republish or share course material, question banks or assessments outside the platform;
- use scripts or automated tools to bulk-download content, or to sit an assessment;
- try to reach data, accounts or admin functions that are not yours.
If a certificate turns out to have been obtained by breaking these rules, we may record it as invalid.
7. Who owns what
Course material, assessments and the platform itself stay the property of their authors and of us. Enrolling gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the material for your own learning while your account is open. Anything you write into the platform — assessment answers, practice conversations, profile details — stays yours; you give us permission to store and process it so the platform can do its job, as described in the privacy page.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the platform running, but we do not promise a particular level of uptime. Courses may be updated, retired or archived. If a course you are enrolled in is retired, your enrolment keeps the pinned version you started and any certificate you already earned is unaffected.
Some parts of the platform depend on services being configured — for example, payments, AI practice or third-party integrations. When one of those is not configured, the platform says so plainly instead of pretending to work.
9. Ending your access
You can stop using the platform at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 6, or that is used to defraud a payment.
Closing an account does not withdraw certificates already earned; see section 4.
10. Liability
We are responsible for providing the platform as described here. We are not responsible for a clinical decision you make, for a regulator refusing to recognise a credit, or for loss caused by something outside our reasonable control.
Owner to supplyany limitation-of-liability wording required or permitted where the business is established, checked by a lawyer — this draft deliberately contains no monetary cap.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and, where we can, tell you inside the platform. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the new version.
12. Governing law and disputes
Owner to supplythe country whose law governs these terms, and the courts that settle a dispute. CEJ Experts sells worldwide, so this is a decision, not a detail — the platform cannot infer it.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms go through the contact page.
